Bill: Cabinet Proposal of February 2354

Details

Submitted by[?]: One Cildania Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2354

Description[?]:

The successful coalition of LP-DPR-OCP has regained enough control of the Senate to retake Cabinet power. This proposal recognises the successful running of the current ministries by both the LP and DPR and both parties retain their current ministries. The LP takes responsibility of Defence and Infrastructure&Transport. The DPR picks up Justice. The OCP takes over Health & Social Services and Food & Agriculture.

MessageThe Liberal Democratic Party cannot believe this. We worked non-stop to unite the Senate Body. We attempted to share power with all active parties in all bills. Now, the Liberal Progressives plan to destroy what our party has worked for by stealing all the power for themselves. This is neither just nor is it plausible. This just proves that the LP is a true divider, not a uniter. The L.D.P. did not lose seats in Cildania, rather gained. "This an affront to everything Cildanian." The L.D.P. can recall a time where a once small Liberal Progressive party stated that Cildanian politics have been the product of small party based power in our country, or a union of minority parties.

MessagePardon our mistake. We have blamed the wrong party for this. We are extremely sorry for what has occurred. This is a problem that will be hard to forgive, but rest assured, we are willing to apologize many times over if that need be the case.

MessageThe Liberal-Progressives will have to seriously consider whether or not to continue in Government with the Liberal Democratic Party. Taken with past incidents we are beginning to question the stability and reasonability of the LDP.

MessageThe Liberal-Progressives never said "that Cildanian politics have been the product of small party based power in our country, or a union of minority parties". At one time early in the Republic's history the Cabinet represented virtually all parties. For the hundreds of years since that the Cabinet has reflected the largest ideological blocs in the Senate except during times of National Emergency when Unity Cabinets have come into being.

Do not put words into the LP's mouth.
