In order to guarantee the continued safety of the Imperial Republic of Hobrazia and her citizens the following laws will be enacted: - The confidentiality of letters is not inviolable. In so doing we can guarantee that no information that could be potentially dangerous to public safety or the nation as a whole is being passed between peoples. However, in order to guarantee that this power is not misused, only authorised personnel may violate the confidentiality of these letters. These authorised personnel may only be a part of Hobrazian security (either police or HIA). Any breaches by any other individuals or groups will lead to a maximum 10 year prison sentence and 5,000 HCR damages. - The nation imposes strict border control on visitors, with intensive security checks, to maintain law and order. In so doing we can guarantee that all nationals entering our nation are law abiding peoples and are unlikely to cause disruption or harm to law abiding nationals. |

Message | Is there a danger at this moment, do we believe that Hobrazians are bad people ? Do we wish to get in the dark ages in which communication can be censored ? The current legislation on letters is fine for us. We believe in secure borders but we also want to Hobrazia to be welcome to its citizens. The current proposals as is will make us vote NAY |

Message | That is what current article 1 says.. in grounded cases they may open mail. The proposal will make it legal for the postal system open any letter just out of curiosity. |

Message | We recommend reading the proposal, not just the articles. |
Date | 10:01:00, February 12, 2007 CET | From | Hobrazia Democrats | To | Debating the Public Safety Act |
Message | The proposal includes the articles, and these articles are what will be in effect, the rest of the proposal is just motivation |
Date | 14:24:47, February 13, 2007 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Public Safety Act |
Message | The rest of the proposal outlines the limitations, or not, of the articles. The article states that the confidentiality of letters is not invioable. The proposal states how those articles will be carried out in law. The two are not mutually exclusive rather they operate as a whole. |
Date | 21:22:21, February 14, 2007 CET | From | National Imperial Hobrazian Front | To | Debating the Public Safety Act |
Message | Allowing the HIA to spy domestically is a dangerous precedent. Cannot support. |
Date | 03:05:36, February 15, 2007 CET | From | Liberal Party | To | Debating the Public Safety Act |
Message | This puts too much limitation on the freedom of the individual. The Liberal Party staunchly opposes. |
Date | 09:08:00, February 15, 2007 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Public Safety Act |
Message | The HIA must already spy domestically, how else do you find, provide, track counter terrorism and spies operating within this Country. The police can't do it as they are upholding the law for the people and catching the normal criminals. The HIA is suited to this sort of endeavour. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
