Description[?]:
State's welfare system is not only rather inefficient & expensive, but also very bureaucratic which increases the chances for corruption & embezzlement not to mention even bigger expenses. Nannying of the state makes people more dependent on it, restricting personal freedom and encourages to irresponsibility & indifference as the state takes care from an individual instead of the individual him/herself. Only working and enterpreunership creates real welfare for the nation and its people. Subsidizing the cost of pharmaceutical drugs skews their prices, increases chances for drug abuse and makes people more dependent from the state. People must get children and provide them by their own income instead of state giving benefits: getting a child shouldn't be a question of money but parental affection, responsibility and social stability. Fraud in the case of child benefit is especially dangerous if a child is brought up into the world just to get benefit but then he/she gets neglected. Welfare system needs reforms. * Walther Clark, Senator and Chairman of the MPD |
