Bill: Economy Motivation Act of 2357

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Party of Dorvik

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2358

Description[?]:

Due to earlier legislation proposals concerning striking rights and the need of keeping our economy rolling, we feel that the enterprise taxation must be lowered from 20% to 18% so that the confidence of businesses on Dorvik can be maintained, brain drain & tax frauds reduced, tax competition contained and especially, more jobs created. The cut would cost only 1,2 billion dolgar which the current budget can easily bear.

The government shouldn't subsidy research & development of drugs nor regulate the prices as it skews up the competition between enterprises and creates unnecessary bureaucracy: consumer choices and offer & demand takes care of reasonable drug prices. These same points apply to phone services as well.

* Walther Clark, Senator and Vice chairman of the Senate Finance Committee

Random quote: "Those who are responsible for the national security must be the sole judges of what the national security requires. It would be obviously undesirable that such matters should be made the subject of evidence in a court of law or otherwise discussed in public." - Unattributed member of the the House of Lords on the removal of trade union rights
