Bill: Ending the Nation if Islamisbad
Details
Submitted by[?]: Jakanian Liberal Socialists
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2359
Description[?]:
This bill seeks to remove the nation of Islamisbad from our nation; from our maps, from our documents, from everything. Its only continued existence will be in our history books, where our future generations will learn of the hardships that their ancestors had to endure. This bill reproposes the Jakanian Identity bill, and upon its passing will rename the nation United Jakania. It will also abolish the Islamisbad flag, replacing it with one of new design; a flag with five stars representing the regions of Nilaka, Borenu, Hufata, Bogendo and Sonhata, and celebrating their Union of 2117, over two centuries ago. |

Message | Before we saw it, we were prepared to object to the new flag on aesthetic basis, but to vote for the change nonetheless because the old religious flag is abhorrent. Then we saw the flag, and it turns out that it is, in fact, pretty cool, and thus, we have no qualms. |
