Bill: The Privatisation of Education Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Aldegar Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2363

Description[?]:

The True Conservative Party believes that public schooling requires too much tax and does not provide an adequate education for the nation's children. Therefore, the True Conservative Party proposes that all schools be privatised to allow for a higher standard of education and less tax. Understanding that lower income families may not be able to afford the usual private school fees, the True Conservative Party proposes that there be a range in the standard of private schools, allowing certain schools of an elite standard that require expensive fees, and others that require minimal fees. Furthermore, the True Conservative Party proposes that, to be fair to families of low income and to children with disadvantages, the government may assist with the payment of fees in certain circumstances.
