Description[?]:

We need some allies. Some real ones. The two nations need to be commited to each other.

MessageIf we are attacked we are (right now) completely alone, so we need some PROPER allies. It won't be wrapped up in some wishy-washy inter-government bodies. It will just be an alliance where one will come to the aid of the other.

I suggest Darnussia, Egelion and the Selucian Empire (to name but a few)

MessagePerhaps your suggested allies could be named in the bill? I would suggest the following text for this proposal:

"The Parliament of the Beluzian Republic resolves to enter into diplomatic talks with Darnussia, Egelion and the Selucian Empire for the purpose of establishing bilateral mutual defence alliances."

MessageI also suggest Rutania since they are suggesting an alteration to article two which means that in the case of attack we will become allies.

MessageLikewise, I feel Rutania should be engaged in such debates. However I believe such debates should take place after the upcoming elections, when a new government has the desired mandate.

MessageWe certainly need to form an alliance, but why only series of two-nation alliances?

Why not form a 'Grand Alliance' of multple nations? As the instigator of the alliance, surely Beluzia would be the head and home of the Alliance HQ?

MessageThat confused me as well; its The PAAL's weird phrasing of "Instead of just signing Non-agression pacts, lets find some nations that actually want to form military partnerships."

MessageAgreed. A new Foreign MInister should oversee this task. Multilateral agreements should have preference.

MessageI think a alliance web is a good idea however it is harder to implement so we need to keep it small at first with the full intention of increasing later on. However, it should not become to big because I think bigger alliances are ineffective in times of war. Better a few good friends than a multitude of aquantiances.

MessageCatholic dudes: I first heard "proper-job" whilst watching farmer yokels from Yorkshire on "Scrapyard Challange" and I believe it is a term of approval in something that is very good. Ask hiren of the Rihannsu Party if you need more of an explanation.

MessageProper Job means something down properly, as opposed to a lashup job, which is done in a hurry and might not hold up as well.

MessageA 'Proper-job' as I know it has two meanings one is 'a proper job' whereby a person has a manual skilled job and the other is a job well done.

Messageok, ok, ok lets not lose its original charm by over explaination. To be said in a culturally accurate way it is to be pronounced "Yaar Praapur Ja-ab"

Before voting, may we have assurances that the foreign minister will submit any proposed alliances to parliament for ratification?
