Message | "This will provide more jobs for the peeps." How? The government employs people to dispose of waste. If we cut that, then they lose their jobs, probably to be picked up by the expanded private waste disposal industry, so its a zero net benefit. |

Message | "This will cause more trash buisnessess to open up, making more jobs." But if we don't manage trash any more, the people the government currently hires to take care of waste disposal will lose their jobs. Thus, as we have layoffs combined with job creation, there's no real benefit. |

Message | No shit. WE've explained that about three times now. How does that create (net) new jobs though? You're just suggesting we kill a bunch of old jobs which will be replaced by a bunch of new jobs in the private sector. Where's the NET benefit? |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
