Date | 09:17:28, February 15, 2007 CET | From | First Party Of Hobrazia | To | Debating the Privatization of Government owned defence industries. |
Message | We can see merit here, however we do like the current laws allowing both. We will have to think on the issue. |

Message | The advantage is ... sorry, there really isn't one. The current law allows publicly owned, but not government operated (there is a specific difference) defence industries to operate alongside private defence contractors. This allows the armed forces to provide quick and easy repair and replacement of equipment at low cost to the forces (public contractors) whilst allowing new contracts to be fought and won by private contractors doing what they do best, invent new technology. |
Date | 19:01:50, February 15, 2007 CET | From | Alliance for Freedom | To | Debating the Privatization of Government owned defence industries. |
Message | Of course we will vote no. We want a big army with good hobrazians weapons, we support privatization but not in essential sectors like this one. |
Date | 21:46:41, February 15, 2007 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Privatization of Government owned defence industries. |
Message | But health care isn't essential? |
Date | 01:09:04, February 16, 2007 CET | From | National Imperial Hobrazian Front | To | Debating the Privatization of Government owned defence industries. |
Message | "It's a no-brainer really." Then by all means elucidate us. Smaller government has its advantages and disadvantages; this falls into the latter category. |
Date | 01:17:09, February 16, 2007 CET | From | Liberal Party | To | Debating the Privatization of Government owned defence industries. |
Message | Smaller gov't means less intrusion into everyone's life. Clearly that is beneficial. |
Date | 09:39:34, February 16, 2007 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Privatization of Government owned defence industries. |
Message | Not when it means the loss of vital industry and infrastructure and the consequent loss of employment. |
Date | 23:21:29, February 16, 2007 CET | From | Classical Republican Party | To | Debating the Privatization of Government owned defence industries. |
Message | The real advantage is in the old ways, there is nothing wrong with that... |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
