This bill seeks to ensure that workers can strike without fear of reprisal. It shall also allow trade unions and their members to decide for themselves their own operating procedures, and prevents the government from regulating and manipulating unions. |

Old value:: Employers are free to fire workers who go on strike.
Current: Employers can fire workers who are deemed to have gone on strike without reasonable reasons.
Proposed: Employers cannot fire workers who have gone on strike.

Old value:: Secondary strike action is illegal. Workers and unions can only go on strike for their own pay and conditions.

Proposed: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
