Message | We find child pornography reprehensible, but do not feel we can force our belief onto the people. We can only ensure that no one is hurt or forced to do things against their will, but we do not feel it is right to legislate beyond this. |

Message | We agree with the L.D.P. on this one. Passage of this bill will lead to more child rape incidents and kidnappings. This measure greatly harms Jakania. |

Message | If that were true, then we should outlaw other pornography, as it will lead to more adult rape incidents and kidnappings. |

Message | In our opinion, if a pedophile can get his kicks from from consensual (yes, yes, I know the term has problems when applied to children) child porn, then they are less likely to need to go out and abuse a child nonconsensually. Illegalizing a commodity only means that commodity can no longer be regulated. The miserable failutre of the "war on drugs" is a prime example from the USA. We support this bill. |

Message | What???? First of all, looking at child porn will only drive a person to commit crimes such as rape. This bill will only create more kidnappings and child rape incidents, and it will leave the govenment unable to prosecute porn offenders. Secondly, the war on drugs in the U.S. is NOT a miserable failure! It is true that drug abuse will never be eliminated in the U.S. or any other country, but govenment crackdowns on drugs have saved thousands of lives. Even if only one life is saved through a crackdown on illegal drugs, then it is a worthwhile cause. If the govenment legalized lethal drugs such as marijuanna, it would basically be encouraging suicide. |

Message | We agree with the M.R.P. on the issue of pornographic material. However, the War on Drugs is a failure. The United States has been fighting this helpless war for years now, dating back to a threshold in the Reagan Administration. During this course of time, the U.S. paid nations such as Iraq to halt growth on drugs like opium. When the U.S. would pay Iraq, Iraq would take the money and would still grow the opium anyway because it is how the average Iraqi farmer makes his living. In fact, the opium market was at one time (perhaps it still is, we wouldn't doubt it) the largest economic product Iraq had, amassing to 70% of sales. There is little to grow in Iraq, for anyone who knows what Iraq's environment and climate is like would know that agriculture is not a dominating force in its economy. In regards to the War on Drugs within the U.S.' own border, it has had mild success, though looked upon overwhelmingly as a failure, which in many regards it is. Drugs are a continuing problem within the United States. However, while the goals of the WoD are held good in retrospect, they are not always practical nor probable. Like, drugs used for medication, for example marijuana. The WoD has interfered with marijuana in medical fields. Marijuana is perhaps one of the most potential and effective drugs when used in cases for migraine, epilepsy, motion sickness, depression, and even in cases of cancer and AIDS. Though it has yet to be supported by a proportional factor of recognized organizations, it is used and backed by categories of the medical field. While the War on Drugs success can be disputed, we do feel the pornographic material in regards to this discussion is definitely debatable. |
