ToDebating the Orange Act XXV
MessageOOC: Just some information that's worth having about Baltusia's military. It was established in the wiki (and therefore, more or less canon), so don't get at me for making it up now:

*Baltusia has four wings to its armed forces: the Air Corps Baltusia (the air force), the Sea Corps Baltusia (navy), the Land Corps Baltusia (army) and, depending on the national laws regarding nuclear weapons, the Nuclear Corps Baltusia.
*The armed forces operate according to colour-coded alert levels, ranging from green for everything's cool, through yellow (elite units recalled for duty), orange (elite units recalled and rest on stand-by), red (full recall) and black for war. By the Powers of Praetor Act, the Praetor can set the alert levels at will, though it can only go to black with the consent of the Senate.
*Because of Baltusia's long-standing agreements with its land neighbours and the logisitics of transporting a large army to an engagement overseas, the LCB numbers roughly a million troops who are strictly used for self-defence.
*Because Baltusia has only a tiny part of the world's sea under its direct control, the SCB is tiny and really only focussed on defending our three aircraft carriers (can't remember what they were called off the top of my head).
*Because of the relative impracticality of the SCB and LCB, most of Baltusia's funding goes to the ACB. Our ACB is powerful and well-funded and maintains a decent arsenal of bombers, fighters, etc including several bombers fitted for nuclear weapons.
*As established by the Nuclear Rearmament Act of 2093 (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=12534), the NCB may only construct weapons during wartime. We reserve the right to construct at any time but it would be illegal by this (and its assumed, subsequent) laws to do so outside of war. However, as war may be declared at the drop of a hat, we establised Fortress Baltusia, a secret lab/bunker somewhere in Gevaro where a bunch of soldiers, engineers and scientists hang out, bored, waiting for the fateful day when they're told to build a nuke. Such a day has not come. As time would be of the essence, the nukes are crude gravity bombs designed to be dropped from one of our bombers, though we do maintain some ICBMs. The NCB run drills from time to time to keep their skills sharp but don't place active warheads in such practice weapons.

I've realised that most of the current parties weren't around when most of that the stuff about the NCB was established, so its worthwhile running through it again.

Random fact: Whilst the use of non-English languages can be appropriate for nation names, party names, constitutional titles and other variables, English is the official language of communication in the game. All descriptive texts and public communications should be in English or at least appear alongside a full English translation.
