Bill: Woman's Choice Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Democratic Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2363

Description[?]:

This bill would amend the existing law pertaining to the topic of abortion.

Currently, it is illegal to have an abortion no matter what the circumstances are. We propose to amend this existing law to a legal abortion during the First and Second trimesters of a pregnancy.

A fetus has not fully grown until the beginning of the Third trimester. In this trimester, the fetus now preforms necessary life-required actions on its own while encompassed in the mother's womb. In the First and Second trimesters, the fetus has not fully grown and has no circumstances of living on its own. And while this topic is debated in scientific fields, it is not technically living until after the Second trimester of the pregnancy, only merely developing. While it is to be noted that the fetus is developing, it is not the true and complete form of a human being and therefore cannot be defined as conditionally living. A human can only live with all the necessary organs and able-functions, which is why a fetus is not a human being until the end of the pregnancy because it doesn't have all of the required functional organs to live.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
