Message | We are opposed to Articles 8, 9, 10 and 11, but that aside, Article 2 means there is no way we can support the Bill as a whole. |
Date | 02:10:59, February 21, 2007 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Axis Mundi Revolution! Agenda - The Family Business |
Message | The Axis Mundi Revolution! fails to understand why a policy to slightly decentralise power at the highest levels, should be objectionable. Combining all the aspects of Head of State, and Head of Government is inefficient, screams of political nepotism - and is just downright un-Likatonian. We are more surprised by the LITP reaction to our religious agenda - we would have thought that 'Independent Thought' would somehow imply freedom from strict adherence to dogma, and the need to control The People through theocratic terrorism. |

Message | We thanks the Likaton Fascist Front Revival for their support. Perhaps this might be symbolic of some future ability for our two parties to cooperate. |

Message | The LITP, whilst being non-religious as an organisation, respect the right to choose. |

Message | The Axis Mundi Revolution also supports the right to choose. Absolutely. And we believe that right cannot be realistic in a nation in which every citizen's religious affiliations is subject to the scrutiny of every other. Practise whatever faith you like - behind closed doors. Wear whatever religious getup you favour - behind closed doors. But, whenever religion is 'seen' there is stigma attached to those who do not conform. There is no absolute freedom to choose, when one must face stigma for one's choices. |

Message | No. Faith is a pus filled abscess on the posterior of enlightenment. We will never allow it. It may exist behind closed doors but will kick those doors in and re-educate you. If you resist that's fine, we will re-educate your children. Aproximately two hundred years ago the Tears of Termani established a reign of terror, particularly in Gokitan. The trouble with any religion is that fundamentalists get hold of it and create pain for everybody. Far better to snuff this idea out like so many snowflakes in an imaginary hell. |

Message | We agree with the spirit of the LFFR - it is the corruption of religion that is the killer. Most religious people are balanced, reasonable people - until the right pressure is applied. The Axis Mundi Revolution seeks to remove the potential for such pressure to be applied, the LFFR seeks to prevent the pressure more directly. We are both heading towards the same goal - a Likatonia that will never again bleed under the heel of oppressive religion - we just have different ideas on how, exactly, the problem should be solved. |
