Message | We consider this a move in the wrong direction. While we see a lot of common ground between the CLP and our own party, this desire to disarm Likatonia may prove to be a bone of contention. |

Message | Indeed, we see this common ground you speak of as well; however, on this particular issue, as a matter of individual rights, the CLP believes it to be of utmost importance that our government force no citizen into fighting in the military, even during times of war. We have more then enough citizens, ranked 9th in the world, to serve in our volunteer military and citizens must maintain certain rights during war times that they also maintain during times of peace. Assuming that some sort of Alien and Sedition Act will always be proposed during times of war, and most likely passed, as a matter of well-being for the whole of the nation, the CLP finds that to be enough of an infringement on individual rights justified by the needs of the whole without also jeopardizing one's right to choose whether they want to be in the military or not. |

Message | We do appreciate the position of the Civil Liberties Party, but at this time, we believe it is important to present a very strong front. We are of the opinion that any weakening of our current military policy - even in the name of civil liberty (which, of course, we applaud) - will be perceived as weakness by those outside of our borders. |

Message | The Conservative Liberals are voting against this proposal. We believe that it is the duty of every citizen in this country to fight for their nation during times of war. |
