Details
Submitted by[?]: Likaton Coalition of the Willing
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2364
Description[?]:
The LITP proposes the following: 1. De-regulation of private clinics, allowing them to be market driven, giving better low-cost health-care 2. Compulsory Organ donation. Once a person is dead, they're dead. The state, for the good of the majority, may claim the bodies for organ donation. 3. Organised religion be banned. Any religious beliefs must be practiced in non-denominational buildings, which must be paid for at market rates, or in the home. Any gathering of more than 10 individuals for religious purposes will require licensing, which shall only be granted for festivals or events that are accessible to all, and non-exclusive. 4. The government shall appoint Religious Leaders, who shall be responsible for maintaining records of traditions and practices, and policing those elements who may be inclined to resort to fundamentalist activity. The LITP do not wish to see spiritual welfare ignored, but handled by professionally recognised practitioners of medicine, rather than stick-waving shamen and mumbling priests. We wish to allow the cultural and social aspects of religion, whilst removing the dogmatic aspects. All religious buildings of archietectural value shall be maintained as museums of culture. |

Message | The LITP are canny fellows... in order to support the Bill, we must backslide on our dedication to a nationalised network of museums and libraries... and must take a smaller step back on our core issue - universal healthcare. Ah. Small steps. Hopefully The People will see that we MUST endure these slings and arrows to try to represent them honestly. |
