Bill: Free Trade Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Scientific Libertarian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2366

Description[?]:

It's always nice to be able to ship goods out and recieve an influx of cold, hard cash in return. Except we can't do that because our economy sucks. But if there's one thing I learned in economics class, it's that tariffs do nothing but harm. It wasn't a very good class.

MessageThis bill does not allow Jakania to impose ANY tariffs on nations even if that nation is partaking in illegal activity. While the M.R.P. supports free trade with selective nations, it does not support a COMPLETELY open policy.

Random fact: "Kubrk" is a Jelbic word that has the colloquial meaning "old man" or "geezer".

Random quote: "The problem is big government. If whoever controls government can impose his way upon you, you have to fight constantly to prevent the control from being harmful. With small, limited government, it doesn't much matter who controls it, because it can't do you much harm." - Harry Browne
