Bill: National Motto
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Democrats of Jakania
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2367
Description[?]:
Yeah, we need a new one. I was curious as to what our current one meant, its not that bad, it means "A blessing upon you". I am sure that we would prefer a new one. It really doesnt matter to me, though I would like to have "Order, Fraternity, and Justice". So! I will get some opinions on the matter, some suggestions and the like, then this will be moved to a vote, exterminating the last of the muslim government that was in place not so long ago. |

Message | Is there a form of 'fraternity' that doesn't imply male dominion? We should use a non-sexist term instead. (Joking.) As before, we can think of no good suggestions of our own, but would support a change, as we have at least two objections to the current motto (the language and the religious nature of the sentiment (thank you for looking up the meaning, by the way)). |

Message | Well, as the parties in the first legislative body in Jakania may recall, our party held a debate for the National Motto. We had many ideas and many suggestions, but it would seem the debate was lost in election times or bicker. We, as last time, will propose one of our favorites. We propose the motto "Together, All Is Accomplished". This motto will explain the unification of our people and our government. It resembles the willingness of our nation to compromise and work together in a unity unmatched with foreign countries and peoples of different natures. After such a great division and partisan national government was in power for such a lengthy time, this motto will represent that a new light is dawning in Jakania and that we will support its progressiveness for as long as justice and freedom rules in this nation. We will attempt to work with other parties on the motto, but we strongly support our original motto. A motto is serious, like the national anthem but to a lesser extent. |

Message | Ah, I knew that would be brought up, it doesnt really matter to me which one we get. Once the rest of the council says what they want or which they prefer, the matter will be brought to a vote |

Message | We also approve of of the LDP's motto. The existing one isn't that bad now that UDA has translated it, but we should perhaps avoid religious references. |

Message | Well then, with two parties saying they like "Together, all is accomplished!", I shall move it too a vote right now |

Message | The letter "A" in the word "all" does look a little weird capitalised, perhaps we should ammend this? |
