Message | A reasonable move. |
Date | not recorded | From | United Socialist Party | To | Debating the Firearms Protection Act |
Message | I would actually rather see the owning of firearms to be completely illegal, except for profesional purposes. Illegal weapons will always exist but even the slightest increase in tolerence for them will increase the illegal weaponry distribution. |
Date | not recorded | From | Leviathan Party | To | Debating the Firearms Protection Act |
Message | In the long term, banning civilians from carrying firearms may be a prudent measure, but in the short term it is better to ease our way into such a position. We can thus assess the efficacy of the new law, and then proceed from there. |
Date | not recorded | From | Social Republican Party | To | Debating the Firearms Protection Act |
Message | One problem is, a retroactive lisensing program is a nightmare to create. Another is, hurry and put in licensing, but don't remove any concealed carry laws. |
Date | not recorded | From | Leviathan Party | To | Debating the Firearms Protection Act |
Message | A retroactive licensing program would be quite simple to create: simply announce that all gun owners must register their fire arms and apply for licenses. Individuals that fail to do so, do so at their own risk. We don't understand your point re: concealed carry permits. |
Date | not recorded | From | Radical Centrists | To | Debating the Firearms Protection Act |
Message | We woud prefer an outright ban, but support this in the meantime. |
Date | not recorded | From | To | Debating the Firearms Protection Act |
Message | This seems reasonable. An outright ban would be excessive, as it would concentrate too much power in the hands of the state. |
Date | not recorded | From | United Socialist Party | To | Debating the Firearms Protection Act |
Message | We will vote in favor for this bill, we believe it is better than nothing at the moment and we look forward to the day when gun ownership is totally illegal by the normal population. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
