Message | We will support CLP. It is very embarrassing name for nation. |

Message | We agree on this with the ConLibs, and are voting to change the name back. However, it was passed legally as part of the description part of the bill "Axis Mundi: Is this what we want?" Parties may have focused on the motto change, and overlooked the name change; but it was there. Again, we will hope to change it back, keeping the motto change, however. Maybe even some of the name change advocates will help provide the 2/3, recognizing that some parties who voted yes didn't know what they were voting for. |

Message | I completely agree with the PopLibs. We were in the exact same situation. |

Message | We just want to point out, in the absence of special exception clauses specifically stated in the original bill (we checked, and found nothing), name changes require a two-thirds majority. (Making a point of this, because the 'resolution' text says "more yes than no votes" - but that isn't the case with nation name changes). |

Message | Although we disagree with the new name, it was agreed by a 2/3 majority. We wold look churlish, nay foolish, to change the name again so soon. |

Message | AMR appreciates that some people might have not read the entire proposal for the name change before they voted. We don't consider that a good precedent to set, and we (personally) would suck up something like a name change that happened because we didn't pay attention - but we are more than willing to allow that accidents do happen, and so we would not hold a grudge if people want to change the name to something else. We might object to the name "Free Republic of Likatonia", for the reasons we illustrated before - we'd rather something was debated, or alternatives offered - it's a shame this has gone straight back to the vote so quickly. (However, since this bill looks to us like it expires AFTER the next election, that point will become moot). |

Message | Some of that 2/3 (at least the ConLibs) didn't read the part about the name change. One can say it's their own fault, and really I'll live with whatever happens...but that's why I think there should be at least a re-vote on the name change. |

Message | There is a re-vote; happening here. The LITP will not support. |

Message | OOC: I'm just thinking - in 'real world' governments, any party that actually tried to overthrow a previous law with the excuse 'sorry, I didn't read it' would (possibly deservedly) become the laughing stock of the establishment, and probably lose a large voter share. |
