Bill: Freedom bus stopping at a church near you.
Details
Submitted by[?]: AM Feminazi Movement
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2370
Description[?]:
Religion. It exists. It will never be expunged. So why do we continue to repress it? Let's open the doors and include the religious elements rather than excluding, marginalizing and ostracizing this minority. The official state religion will be the only true religion of Terra, "The Tears of Termani". Peace, Sven. |

Message | A comment we are truly suprised to hear from, of all parties, the CLP. Removing the state from interfering in the appointment of ministers? Stopping unfair taxation on religions ? Removing government interference in the payment of religions ministers? Allowing religions to freely advertise themselves? Removing government dictates on what religions can visit our country? The "Civil Liberties Party" does not seem to be supportive of the Civil liberties we are trying to introduce here. We can understand the objection to an official state religion but on balance we had thought there was more in this bill for them than what they would push against. Regardless Termani demands a vote on this now. |

Message | If the Civil Liberties Party are especially worried about the 'mandatory state religion', they are not the only ones. The Axis Mundi Revolution intends to oppose such behaviour first and foremost. Should the AM LRM manage a majority here, and push through such insanity, the Revolution will immediately call exactly opposite legislation. (Indeed, we will also vote on 'compromise' legislation that overthrows mandatory religion, even if it doesn't head as far into 'secularity' as we would like. Opposing mandatory religion is one of our core issues.) |

Message | Again, we have voted 'no' only because the 'hell, no!' option seems to have been left off of the ballot papers. |

Message | Yes, our party has been looking for the "hell, no" option as well, but are unable to find it. |

Message | We too, look for this, "Hell no!" button, but upon discovering that no such button exists, a simple "No" will suffice. And to the AM LRM: We of the Civil Liberties Party do support one's right to be apart of a religion and we have pushed in the past for less government involvement in religious matters, including Article 2. However, the rest of the articles you present are downright disgraceful to a free nation, such as Likatonia, and yes, I purposely call it that. Overall, as a matter of protecting civil liberties, we must vote a resounding no; and we ask again, just to fulfill our own curiosity: is this bill a joke? |
