Message | You want to welcome uneducated people, without giving them right to education or means to live their own life here. In the Netherlands we also left the borders open for migrants, without integrating them. We now have multicultural conflicts. No, I am proponent of a restrictive immigration policy. You should at least retain quotas. |

Message | [Netherlands...no wonder he's a fascist... :P] Why do not you want people to come to your country if it is as great as you say? Do you mean to say that in the Netherlands the citizens are not granted the right to a free public education? I thought the EU fixed problems like that. Put yourself in the other place and see what you would want. |

Message | In the Netherlands we allowed people to come to our country, but out of the assumption that they would stay only temporarily. Migrants were offered nothing but basic amenities. They stayed permanently and now suffer from social deprivation due to lack of care and unrestricted new immigration. If you want migrants to come here, you must also offer them education or help. If you are not willing or capable to do that, you must only accept a limited amount of highly educated migrants (which actually happens in Australia, the USA and other traditional immigrant countries; green cards). In the Netherlands migration was not restricted for 30 years and it expanded because immigrant workers sent for their families. The Netherlands (being already densely populated) just wasn't ready to take in so many people. Fortuyn (if he's the person you associate with Dutch "fascism") spoke the words many Dutchmen had wanted to say. Integration had failed because the government continued to deny that there was improper care for their integration into Dutch society. Perhaps the NDP leader should have a closer look in the Dutch slums instead of admiring Amsterdam's architecture (if he has been in the Netherlands, which I doubt sincerely). |
