Bill: Religious Freedom Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Civil Liberties Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2370

Description[?]:

To give back to the people some of their religious freedoms which have thus far been taken away.

Article 1 - By deciding which religions are "good enough" to join the country we are making it very clear that some religions have our support, while others do not. As the government we can not support any religion, and, as such, foreign missionaries should be allowed to enter the country so long as they simply register at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs beforehand.

Article 2 - Once again, we are allowing religion to have the freedom to choose their own ministers without state interference.

MessageThe best religious views are no religious views. While we do not support allowing any religions to send missionaries here, we prefer at least limiting the religions that may do so to a free for all. At least current law will keep out the Moonies.
