Our biotechnology industry would benefit substantially from the kind of spin-offs made possible by conducting research on biological weapons. Furthermore, research will enable Telamon to better develop antidotes and other means by which to minimize the damage from a biological or chemical weapon attack. Secondly, we should, for the purposes of deterrence, be willing to respond in kind to foreign chemical/biological attacks. |
