In order to reduce the risk of STDs infection rates throughout the Imperial Republic of Hobrazia, and so consequently reducing Government expenditure in this area of National Health, whilst also accepting that individuals are responsible for their own health and well being, the Government will subsidise the cost of contraception to guarantee that the cost of such methods (i.e. condoms) are at a level so as to encourage their use. Subsidised contraception will be available in all public house(s) and nightclub toilets, as well as being available freely at pharmacies and other stores that stock aforementioned contraceptives. This bill will be supported by health advertisements in order to explain the dangers of STDs and other such infections and to encourage the use of these contraceptive methods. |

Message | A big ol' aye over here. In addition to your point about sexually transmitted diseases, condom use is an effective means of birth control, resulting in more planned families and thereby reducing poverty, abortions, and unwanted children. |

Message | Might we enquire why the FPoH is against helping to reduce the spread of STD's within our population and reducing the overall cost to the Health Service that this entails? |
Date | 15:20:26, March 12, 2007 CET | From | First Party Of Hobrazia | To | Debating the National Health Legislation: Article 5; Contraception. |
Message | The government has no obligation using public money to subsidies contraceptives. It may help to cost STD's but from what we can determine there is no major problem with STD's and the education system works well in promoting contraceptive use, the price is not excessive for people to afford at present. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
