Message | Absolutely not. Until the treaty starts infringing on what the people of Telamon wish to do with their lives there is nothing wrong with it. The last thing we want is to be seen as isolationists. |
Date | 18:14:35, March 11, 2007 CET | From | Imperialist Party | To | Debating the Withdrawal of United Macon Treaty |
Message | The United Macon Treaty is ineffectual at best, and meddlesome at worst. We ought to defend our national sovereignty by steering clear of entangling international treaties. |

Message | While we sympathise with respectable patriotism, the Macon Union is a key part of financial trading and infrastructure in exports for Telamon. To upset our neighbours like this would endanger the opportunities for our citizens to prosper. |

Message | We heartily agree with the Conservatives. The Union has been an objective of this nation for years, and we believe that it will shortly be an effective organization which helps our people prosper. |

Message | Like you said it has been apart of our nations for years and it will shothly be an effective organization. If it has been in effect for years why is it shortly going to help us. And what if your def. of shortly. That could mean 10 years. |

Message | First off, the Union as an actual functioning body is extremely young, having been ratified only ten or so years ago (that's about 20 days, and it was only ratified by the other nations last week). We've had little time to accomplish anything, although we've gotten over the first hurdles and are now working well with our partners. We will shortly have a voting system in place, and then actual business can be begun. I think you accidentally read the statement "The Union has been an objective of this nation for years" with meaning that it has been in existence for years. It has not. I encourage you to give it a chance to actually begin work before you ridicule it as ineffective. |

Message | We fully concur with all that the CA and SWP have said. give the union a chance to work. It is necessary both from an economic perspective and a political one as we seek to give the citizens of Macon a more powerful and effective voice in world affairs. Macon can achieve much more as a united political entity, than it can divided. |

Message | We should note this significant event - the first time the MLP has voted in favor of the Union. |
