Bill: Crime Comitted on Foreign Soil
Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperium et Libertas Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2374
Description[?]:
This bill allows the state to prosecute criminals for crimes they have committed abroad (assuming that these acts are also criminal under our law). We hope this goes someway to easing the fears of the honourable Rednecks about our extradition bill. OOC: This has no in-game effect. It's a purely RP bill. |

Message | Is this is a kind of interpol admission resolution, or is this a bill that allows our country to judge international criminals based on our laws? Anyway, we will of course accept it. |

Message | It's the latter. In essence, it's a companion to the recent extradition bill. It confirms that we can charge criminals for crimes that happen outside our nation. |

Message | Be sure, the RnP will fight to allow criminal scum to be returned to face their chages in the land the crime was commited. |

Message | And rightly so. Criminals must learn that crime never pays. |

Message | Certainly RnP, you have a perfect right to try and overturn the bill, as do we all with bills we disagree with. Ah, the marvels of democracy. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
