Description[?]:
Whereas, The previous bill of this nature was defeated only because a party in favor had been unable to vote on the issue and has promised to vote for it if raised again, and Whereas, Since this bill's third article now is a return to the 199 seat Convocation that has worked for us for years, which could not be proposed when the official parliament size was still 199-- and some who opposed it may have opposed it for the reason that it was an increase in Convocation size, We hereby re-propose these reforms, albeit with a return to a 199 seat Convocation. |

Message | Well, first you should consider how much money is wasted to pay many, many more leglislators than we actually need; plus, since the highest number of MP's the Convocation building has held is 351, there would be additional costs to enlarge the building to accomodate nearly double that number. Also, while 333 as a tie and 334 as a majority are fairly easy to remember, they are not equally easy to calculate. Furthermore, Huge parliaments create ridiculous numbers, even with the same percentages. Big parties might manage 200+ seats and even little parties will have at least 40. However, 40 seats today would mean a lot of infliuence, but 40 seats in the 66 seat Convocation would mean a party had been trounced. If we get trounced, we cannot even regroup in our old phone booth; we must continue paying for office space. |

Message | We feel that the people deserve as much representation as possible; surely one convocation member per 136000 voters isn't exactly over staffed? |
