MessageWe warmly welcome the Pragmatic Socialists to this great nation, and look forward to working with them to help build a better Aldegard for all its people. We hope they have a great time here.

We sympathise with the call for an early election, given that several parties which won seats in the last election have now been set to 'inactive', and a new party has joined us. However, we are very keen that the Grand Council get through the very important legislation that is currently being voted on. If we call an election now, the legislation which is being voted on now will be reset to the 'debate stage', slowing the whole process down.

The Democratic Alliance would favour holding an election once the Grand Council has finished voting on the legislation that has already been proposed, which will be at the beginning of 2085 (which isn't very long anway - I think that's about a day in our time...?)

MessageWe, despite being a new party, do not wish for early elections, based on the simple fact that we wish to make our stance clear before the polls open. With more time, we can get more bills through and vote on more bills, helping the electorate to understand our stance on issues. We sympathise with the Pragmatic Socialists, but think that for their good and ours, that we should hold out until our scheduled elections.

MessageWe, the Alliance of Free Persons, believe that frequent elections help to stir up the halls of the Grand Council and insure that the Council is representative of all the people of Aldegar. We therefore vote yes, but would like to see a bill that would shorten the time between elections, so as to eliminate the need for these frequent special elections.

MessageWe also agree with the alliance of free persons that elections must be held frequently, to quickly react on leaving players. If this bill doesn't come through before saturday our time, it does not matter no more, because I will be on a holiday then :)

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
