Proposed: Religions are treated as companies, and all profit is taxed, however, charitable donations are not taxed.

Message | The MLP likes the idea of recognizing religious institutions as corporations, however, a few questions: 1) How would government distinguish between taxable profits and charitable contributions? 2) Wouldn't governmental enforcement of these provisions prove to be a nightmare? 3) Wouldn't business corporations begin clamoring that it is unfair that religious "corporations" receive tax-exempt status for "charitable" contributions and they do not. 4) How would we go-about addressing these pressing matters? |
