Message | Absolutely not. We're a small nation who could use more immigrants. There is no reason to shut them out. |
Date | 00:07:15, March 18, 2007 CET | From | Imperialist Party | To | Debating the CA Immigration Act |
Message | So set very high quotas. This reasonable bill simply gives the state the control needed over the immigration process. |
Date | 04:06:19, March 18, 2007 CET | From | Catholic Workers Union | To | Debating the CA Immigration Act |
Message | Why should they bother with any controls when we're not facing an immigration crisis? Besides, this will serve as a means of class discrimination, with quotas set infinitely high for upper class business men and intellectuals, and set relatively low for lower-skilled laborers. Everyone should be able to achieve the Telamonite dream equally. Their admittance into this country should not include a class barrier. |

Message | Ehhh, we're undecided. Convince us. |
Date | 13:52:13, March 19, 2007 CET | From | Catholic Workers Union | To | Debating the CA Immigration Act |
Message | We don't need quotas, we need more people. We're one of the smaller nations. Also this is a discriminatory process, shutting many low skilled laborers out of the Commonwealth because they don't have the "experience" or connections of upper class immigrants. Please vote against. |
