Message | I'd prefer the more democratic proportional system in which the larger regions get more seats as they have a larger population. |

Message | I do not think that would be fair, however this is a step in that direction. As it stands now, large regions have a small amount of seats when compared to the small regions. |

Message | I would advocate the implementation of this bill. |

Message | We prefer the weighted system, as it allows for better represenation of smaller communities in the wider political picture. As such, we would not support this amendment. |

Message | Why should smaller communities be better represented? I agree with SDP-- there's no reason for smaller regions to have an advantage. |

Message | "I do not think that would be fair, however this is a step in that direction." Furthermore, this isn't a step in that direction. The algorithm gives advantage to smaller regions but I assume that larger regions still have more votes; this bill would give smaller regions the exact same number of seats as larger ones. |

Message | Not how I read it. Hold on, let me get a clarification from the admin. I see that as the same preportional representation, because if you look at it in proposal mode you can see that's how it seems to be. |

Message | What you're asking for is proportional representation, which is actually mathematically impossible. Every algorithm where the number of seats is fixed (which is the case here, I can't make that dynamic) will have some imbalance. The fairest algorithm is the one giving a small advantage to bigger nations, it's the same algorithm used for seat distribution in a region. |

Message | So that. Bring to a vote? |

Message | What I was saying was that "equal representation" means all regions have the same number of seats, regardless of size. |
