MessageThe "Integral Reform of Jakania I" already covers much of this material. We urge the U.D.J. to reconsider many of these Articles for they are repetition of an already existing bill.

MessageArticle 2 is in the "Integral Reform of Jakania I" bill.

MessageWe don't agree with Article 3. Articles 1 and 4 we're unsure about. Article 2 we support whole-heartedly. If the U.D.J. can make a convincing argument to defend their bill, we'll vote yes.

MessageIts like the U.S.A way to buy alcoholic beverages. The person who wishes to buy them has to get a license. If they get one it would probably require them to say that nothing harmful is put into the beverage. Second, you would prefer it if kids could go and buy alcohol?

Same with article four.

MessageSeeing how the War on Drugs has been a complete failure and we have discussed this material with a personal advisor, we will vote no on this.

MessageWe don't support Article 2. That's our main reason for voting 'no' on this bill.

MessageOk then, I understand why you vote no on article two, but can you tell me why you are "unsure" about Articles one and two. Your telling me that you would prefer it if anyone could go and sell alcohol, and that anyone, including little kids, could go out and buy alcohol and tobacco

MessageThe U.D.J. brings up a very good point. We would NEVER under any condition wish to make it legal for minors to purchase alcohol or tobacco. Both substances provide tremendous harms to the body and mind. Allowing minors to purchase it not only harms the health of this nation, but also causes increased crime rates, especially in inner city areas.

MessageI am unsure about Articles 1 and 4, not 1 and 2.

In the real world, there are very few modern countries that alcohol is flat out illegal to minors. In Europe, it is not uncommon for a minor to drink wine or some alcholic beverage for dinner. It is usually watered down or lessened by the consulting parent or guardian, but it is legal. This example is true in regards to most European or Middle Eastern nations that allow minors to have alcohol for cultural and or religious reasons. It really is not that crucial to us for either form of legislation to pass, we teeter on both sides of the issue throughout our party ranks. However, 2 outweighs this which is why we vote no.

In regards to Article 4 which is the tobacco products, we said we were "unsure" because we were just that. We were teetering off and on on which side to support and couldn't find a common consensus. If you look up the word "unsure" in the dictionary it means uncertain and not ready to make a decision about something. And, we made up our mind that we agree with Article 4 but the other articles outweigh it. Though we did support Article 3 whole-heartedly.

MessageYes, that is true. Minors can drink alcoholic beverages in some countries, but they cannot purchase it. This bill bans the PURCHASE of alcohol by minors and does not regulate their consumption of it.

MessageActually, in many European Nations they are allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages and the European Union has lessened restrictions significantly.

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.
