| In order to improve the overall ecological welfare of the Nation, and to encourage the population to embrace ecological improvements that will improve overall air quality whilst also increasing economic productivity due to reductions in increased time off work due to ill health, the following changes to the existing legislation will be instituted by the Government. - Guidelines are to be introduced on industrial pollutants. These guidelines will be released to industry and those industries producing such pollutants will be encouraged to follow the guidelines by the introduction of tax reductions for those complying or improving on those guidelines. - In order to encourage the use of environmentally friendly vehicles, and to help reduce overall traffic congestion, people will be encouraged to travel collectively and use low emission fuels and clean engines. In order to encourage their use tax incentives will be provided to those people utilising low pollution fuels. - In order to encourage the use of recycling facilities the Government will fund facilities for public use and will introduce a campaign to promote their use. |
