MessageSmall decrease in Foreign Affairs

Major increase in Internal Affairs since I just learned that internal affairs included police. I tought this was included in justice but it appears its not.

Small decrease in Defense since military conflict with our two neighbors appear much more unlikely then they were four years ago.

Small decrease in Justice due to the "transfer" of the policing budget to Internal Affairs. By transfer I mean my learning of what the gamemakers meant by internal affairs and therefore if you add IA and Justice toegether, they are actually being increased to 15 billions from 12.15b.

Since the game does not include inflation and since the governments of the past 20 or so years in Hutori has been center-right, there has been an increase in the number of private clinics and private schools - something that was unheard of during our socialist years - yet the budget figures of 50b dates from those very socialist years. Therefore, a 10% reduction in spending there.

More private implication in our science and technology industry and the government continual protection of patents has resulted in a much smaller need for government assitance since private research firms are better able to finance their research through internal financing (their own cashflow through sales of patented products).

Tax cut to follow.

MessageI don't have time anymore but I'll introduce a bill that eliminates the 15% tax on corporation.

With a 21.7 billion expected annual surplus, we can eliminate that tax or we can cut personal tax, or we can eliminate the 5 percent luxury tax. Or a combination of some. Warren Mashkow, Hutori's Finance minister is open to suggestions concerning the tax cuts.

The Finance Committee is in process.

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current.

Random quote: "We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant." - Karl Popper
