Message | the retirement age is only relevant in the context of the government paying a retirement income. Abstain. |

Message | How does this do these things? Well, for starters, since most people live into their late 70s these days, to pay retirement and related cost from 65 to, let's say, 77 costs MORE. From 68 to 77 would cost less. I know there's math involved but this means paying for 12 years versus 9. We save money. Personally, I'd phase-out the retirement age altogether because it generalizes the elderly as dependent, needy and disabled simply due to their advanced ages. Also: doesn't retirement age FORCE government employees to retire at 65? How is that fair: why should a 65 year old be forced to retire when he can do a job just as well (if not with more experience) than a 30,40 or 50 year old? The MLP was trying to be diplomatic and reasoned with 68, but the socialists apparently think otherwise. |

Message | Just out of curiousity, may we ask why you voted no on your own bill? And, helping the elderly is tyranny is it? Well, this says a lot about the MLP I'd say |

Message | Vote "No"? What are you talking about. It says the MLP trusts the elderly to plan, prepare and take personal responsibility for their own retirements. It also means we don't treat elderly like disableds just because they're old. |

Message | And we belive that those who, due to the catasrophic policies of previous governments, are too poor to ever have the change to plan for their old age, have the right to trust in government to help and support them. And, glad to see you changed your vote |

Message | Trust government? Too poor? You just want to create dependency so they'll keep voting for you. "Gee, Mr. Magoo, here's $680 a month from your pals at the government; don't forget to vote the FSDP ticket next time or else...". Next, you'll start dictating what they can and can't do because they're "too" old or poor. How about mandatory nursing homes? Holding people's hands is not the job of government; it destroys personal rights, individual self-reliance and responsibility, creates a false sense of entitlement and expectations, takes emphasis off of family structure and support, and biases political discussions to "we give you a check you do what we say vs. the mean 'ol libertarians who want to take away your precious checks." You're helping to bankrupt this nation fiscally and morally. |

Message | HAd a look at the budget lately? Not close to banrupt I'd say, but we forget, the MLP does not work with facts, but with fear. You keep ignoring the question, - what should poor people, the poor elderly do? Come on, easy question isn't it. Just tell us. Just lie down and die quietly somewher out of sight? Or don't you just not care, because hey, it is not costing your rivh cororate backers a sent. And maybe this is why the poeple d not vte for you, they are tired of you telling them they ate stupid. They are tired of you telling them they fall for bribes - and you also tryto bribe people, btw. with you 'with us, you won't pay taxes' mantra. The people of this great nation are inteligent, they don't vote becuase they where baught, they vote bcause they think. Unlike the MLP, who vote in the Assembly because they where baught - buy the big corporations |
