Bill: IP Embassy Screening Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2382
Description[?]:
This act will give the foreign office the ability to decide whether other countries can establish an embassy on our soil. As per diplomatic convention, we give ambassadors diplomatic immunity and allow embassies to be the sovereign soil of the other country. Given the gravity of this, it surely makes sense for the government to have a check on the behaviour of our foreign guests. Furthermore, we may, as a matter of protest, want to expel the embassy of another country - if, for instance, they fall under the sway of nuncirism. Under the status quo, this would be difficult to do - making this a necessary change to our laws. |
