MessageWe already issue passports. Isn't that enough? Now, I.D. cards?! Great. What's next? Barcodes? Chip implants? That'd be an even better way to "track" citizens, right?

MessageYou need to keep up with people MLP. Chip Implants and bar codes would be going a little too far because they would:
A) Change peoples appearance or,
B) make people have a foreign object in their body and be a form of surgery.

MessageYou can forge an I.D. card as easily as a facial apperance, too. Those wanting to fake documents will always find a way to get them. It's the law-abiding citizens who will be forced to pay for and update their I.D.s on a regular basis. They will not only be inconvienced by this but also have their privacy compromised. I.D.s mean the potential for more I.D. theft and the resulting financial losses that often accompany it. The MLP are not willing to put our law-abiding citizens at risk so we can catch some forgers. No national I.D.!
