Bill: The Firearms Act of '84
Details
Submitted by[?]: Free Movement of Gaduridos
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2385
Description[?]:
Art 1 It is the believe of the FMG that firearms is important right in a free nation. These reasons: 1) For personal Defense. an RL example would be look at DC, guns (were) banned, and crime rates went up 2) For national defense, there have been nations that did not want to start ground invasion because so many guns were in the hands of the people 3) For protection against the govt, a party could come to power that wants to oppress the people, the 1st thing Fascist and Totalitarian Parties here in Gaduridos did was ban firearms. 4) Hunting. Putting food on the table. IT has been said, To disarm the people is the most effectual way to enslave them. So what will it be? Are we working to enslave the people of the Executorship, or to let them live a free life? -- Art 2 Also, we believe that is not the governments place to say where firearms can be carried. The property owner should decide if s/he wants firearms on his property. We have much more important things to worry about than that. -- Art 3 As for the police, why only none lethal weapons, even if the 1st two articles do not pass, do you not think that people illegally own a weapon right now? Do you not think they will use it since they are criminals (in the eyes of many of you in this chamber) in the 1st place? It is in the best intrest for the security of the Executorship that police be allowed to carry lethal firearms, instead of waiting for a "specially trained" unit on the scene, who knows how long that will be since the bill is in voting to make the police a national, not a local entity. |
