Bill: Media Privatisation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Liberal Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2386

Description[?]:

Whilst we recognise that the Telamonian Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) is an important part of this nation, with its state subsidised TV and Radio channels, we fail to see why private companies cannot also compete in this area. This bill would therefore permit the establishment of private broadcasting organisations, not reliant on government subsidy, whilat maintaining the independence of TBC
