Bill: International Relations and Eminent Domain Bill 2386

Details

Submitted by[?]: God's and the King's Fighters

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2387

Description[?]:

Ad 1: The government should have the possibility to seize private property, if this had to happen for the greater good, the greater good not being some abstract ideas, but more something along the lines of military goods, or other areas that are still left to the state, like power stations.

Ad 2: If our people want to help other countries, they can do that by individual donations ore NGOs, but they shouldn't be forced to do this by the state.

Ad 3: If we welcome fugitives, we should help them integrate, in order to prevent higher criminality.

MessageWe agree with articles 1 and 2, but not with article 3. We think everyone, refugee or not, should be welcomed in our country, but we shouldn't give aid to them.

MessageWe can agree with this bill if you drop article 2.

To the UFD, you have to right to your opinion, but your opinion on article 3 was proven to be a naive one in the Netherlands in 2002. Fortuyn got so many votes because he rejected an all welcome policy without integration help. I didn't vote for him, but I could understand his resistance to it.

Random fact: In cases where players have failed to clearly and accurately reference their nation's RP laws in the "Bills under debate" section, Moderation will rule them invalid if a challenge is made to their validity.
