Message | I'm sorry, but there is no way we will back this source of propoganda and brainwashing, which is all it'll be. |
Date | not recorded | From | Kellarly Party | To | Debating the Public Broadcasting Act |
Message | I have to disagree with my collegue here, with examples such as the BBC, an independently managed, but government subsidised broadcaster is a very useful and beneficial source of information. We would however oppose a governmant CONTROLLED broadcaster. |

Message | We are unsure, but tentatively agree with Kel, as the same is true of the ABC in Australia. |

Message | When the government pays for it, the government can decide what it shows. I wouldn't say that BBC are any better than Sky News or CNN. When a person buys a company, he decides what can air in that company, and it will naturally not show anything against him. Same for government. Our government should not be immune to criticism. |

Message | We shall vote no for now, as the bill should be improved. |
Date | not recorded | From | Kellarly Party | To | Debating the Public Broadcasting Act |
Message | The BBC provides an infinitely more professional range of services than either Sky or CNN. In fact it could be argued that due to how the owners of the private give their money to political parties the private broadcasters are more biased. I am breaking with my colleagues here and am voting yes. |

Message | We will change our vote however we will propose an additional bill to take care of the concerns. |
Date | not recorded | From | To | Debating the Public Broadcasting Act |
Message | We vote no because it is money best spent elsewhere. |
