Bill: The Education Cost Reduction Act of 2388

Details

Submitted by[?]: Moderate Libertarian Party (NoCoalition)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2388

Description[?]:

A bill to lower education tuition rates for elementary, secondary and college/university level schools by taking "middle-man" government out the picture. This will hold schools accountable to consumers and their demands and not government. Schools raise costs, operational rates, and tuitions substantially every year because they know, under current laws, the state MUST pick-up the tab.

MessageThe Communist Party is hardly a political party to talk-about "equality." On paper, sure. In reality though it's "everyone is equal but some are MORE equal than others" (i.e. Stalinst Russia, North Korea, China, Cuba, etc.). Or else, if its true blue, everyone is poor together. I guess that's one definition of equality.

MessageInstead of taking on the facts the CP states, you take on the CP? WEagree with your exxamples of unequal communist societies, which is why the FSDP is not communists. But that does not take waway the fact that your proposed bill is also far removed from equality.

Education is the only way to break the cycle of poverty some families are caught up in. But we are willing to compromise. We will support the bill regarding teriary education, with trouble, if you keep public schools in place.
