Bill: IP Law Enforcement Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Imperialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2389

Description[?]:

Without weapons, our police forces can be overwhelmed by better-armed criminals. Law and order require the police to be more powerful than individuals (or at least equally powerful). Arming our police forces will help reduce crime. Sure we have SWAT teams at the present, but criminals don't generally wait for SWAT teams to get in place - sometimes you need an armed police officer walking the beat.

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
