It's kind of scary if we treat showing yourself to be opposed to the government as a criminal act.

As for 3: it just seems pointless for the government to be handing out marriage contracts if anybody can get them. Why can't people just say that they're married without the government getting involved?

MessageBurning of the national flag is not showing opposition to the government but hatred towards the country itself. As for 3 if the government is handing them out then it is easyer too keep track of people marital status for benifit reasons.

Person shows dislike of State.
State punishes Person.
