Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2392
Description[?]:
The Jelbe' Democratic Islamist Party has no problems with the Keymon Free Trade Agreement or for gay rights of Jelbe' citizens however we believe that for the free-trade agreement, without allowing the use of tariffs for items from Keymon that might be subsidied illegally and therefore Jelbe' will not be able to advance economically. With regards to the Gay Rights, the Jelbe' Democratic Islamist Party believes that Gay Rights have already been entrenched in the nation of Jelbe and therefore we can be in compliance with the treaty without actually voting for it. |

Message | The Keymon Free Trade Agreement solidifies our long friendship with that nation, and we cannot support a withdrawal. Withdrawing from the International Gay Rights Treaty would be a step back in terms of social progress for our gay, lesbian, and bisexual brothers and sisters. Being a member of this treaty allows us to be a part of a global movement for progress and equal rights. We do not support a withdrawal. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
