Bill: IP Scientific Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2392
Description[?]:
The benefit to mankind should be the penultimate aim of government policies. Environmentalism and the obsession with "animal cruelty" of the modern era, is nothing more than the emergence of fetishization of commodities. Furthermore, we have problems with pet overpopulation as it is, because people do not spay and neuter their pets. Instead of merely slaughtering those animals, we can provide positive benefits to mankind. As for cosmetic products, the arguments of some that this is "superficial" is utter hypocrisy. Animals are killed for fashion all the time - but who would actually go the full step of say, banning leather. Animal research can create jobs, wealth, and better products for consumers. Not to mention, the safety of such products will be enhanced, since it will have been tested on animals, instead of on individuals within the marketplace (which is how things are tested, effectively, if we don't allow animal testing). |

Message | Well that is why you breed them and then experiment on them. We aren't experimenting on endangered species here, but rats and such. |
