| Here there are two issues that are definitely best controlled by local governments. Public nudity is something that offends large numbers of people, but is a lifestyle choice for others. By leaving decisions about public nudity to the local level, we can have the emergence of nudist colonies, etc. which do not bother people in other neighbourhoods. This proposal is win-win. Secondly I don't think a national fire service makes very much sense at all. It ties down the fire service to a lot of bureaucracy and a great disconnect from the people that are actually served. |
