There needs to be a standard in cinemas in order to protect chidlren. The decision is left to the parents) A = All (these are ok for anyone to watch) |

Message | ACP support the idea about "The government sets a range of standards (to be determined) but these only apply to movie theaters." But we don't support the idea about your certificates to be issued to films. We want it like this: X = Pornographic films. 18+ only 18 = 18+ only (scenes of violence, sex, very strong language) 12= 12+ only (mild violence, mild scenes of a sexual nature, some strong language) 7= 7+ only (no sexual scenes, no strong language, very mild violence kept toa minimum) PC = Parental Consideration (These are half-way between 7 and A. The decision is left to the parents) A = All (these are ok for anyone to watch) |

Message | We support this proposal, but if we were to have one reservation about this proposal, it would be that we believe 15 is still too young for children to be experiencing sexually explicit material - is it possible to change the 15 and up category so that it excludes sexual material, and make any film with sexually explicit material 18 and over? |

Message | We agree and support. As to the FF's reservation, we doubt that the the movies reserved for those 15 and older are really that sexual. After all, it's called mild for a reason. Following your suggestion may simply confuse parents over the seriousness of sexual content in 18+ rated films. |

Message | We can see the logic in the PM's arguement - in that case, we would at least like the advisory in question to strictly regulate sexual content in the 15 year old category to ensure that it is never of a nature that may reflect the act of sex in an innappropriate fashion or in a way that is too realistic or graphic. If this regulation is ensured, we will support this bill fervently. |
