Message | We see no reason to increase taxes; Aldegar already operates with a governmental surplus and keeping taxes low provides incentive for people to move here and keep their money invested here. |
Date | 22:10:51, May 01, 2007 CET | From | Party of Moderates | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of September 2397 |
Message | We agree with the ALP. Taxes should only be as high as to fund necesary government services. |

Message | Wow, even the S.C.A.F.R. voted against this. Since when are communists interested in lower taxes? |

Date | 10:25:41, May 02, 2007 CET | From | Aldegar Freedom Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of September 2397 |
Message | We cannot support this proposal, not only because it is an increase on previous taxes, which we were happy with for the time being, but also because we believe in an absolutely flat tax rate - we cannot support any tax proposal unless it is a proposal moving the tax rates for each bracket closer together, with the ultimate goal of making tax equal for each bracket. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
